We are having a hat day this Friday to raise money for the March of Dimes.  Bring a dollar and wear your favorite hat or your craziest! We have a goal set to raise $500!

Congratulations to the boys and girls tennis teams.  They played in the West Georgia Invitational Middle School Tennis Tournament and brought home the Championship trophies in both boys and girls events. The team defeated Bay Springs and Carrollton to move on to the the final round. In the final round the boys defeated Bremen by a score of 3-2 for the championship, and the girls defeated Carrollton by a score of 4-1 for the championship. The boys team members are 8th grade: Will Smith, Clint Rainwater, Jacob Schmittou, Stephen Moye, William Butler. Our 7th grade boys are Brock McWhorter and Ty Thomas, and the 6th grade boys are Kaden Jones and Charles Kuntz. The girls team members are 8th grade, Kira Babbs, Anna Cheatwood, Natalie Wilson. 7th grade Emily Jones, Laney Duffey, Addison Deney, Brooklyn Ivester, Kailyn Butts, Keioritie Thomas, and Darby Burns.  6th grade Tinley Nelson, Ella Robinson, Lizzie Long, Lori Phillips, Hannah Gibbs, and Ellie Robinson. A Big Shout-out to the girls who were undefeated the entire season. Way to Go Tennis Team!!!

All 8th grade students trying out for Color Guard: please remember that your forms are due THIS FRIDAY. You may turn those in to either the front office or you can bring it to Mrs. Dickstein in the band room.

If you are an 8th grade chorus student auditioning for color guard and you are going to Carowinds, please see either Dr. Smith or Mrs. Dickstein.

Science club will meet Wednesday after school until 5:15. We are doing our Earth day clean up so please wear a pair of shoes and  clothes that can get dirty.

Soccer players, please turn in your papers to Coach Maddox this morning.

Drama Club practice is cancelled this afternoon, but it is on for Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-5:00 in my room (612).

Please remind students that we need to collect  all meal money due on meal charges in the cafeteria and will not allow students to charge after next week.

Reminder that all 6 and 7 graders who are going to Spring practice need to turn in forms to either Coach Horsley or Coach Bush before April 23 in order to participate in Spring practice.



All rising 9th Grade Student Athletes (current 8th grade students who plan to play sports in high school): Southern Therapy is providing a free Sports Physical on Thursday, April 26 at 5:30. We will provide transportation from CMS to Southern Therapy. You must have someone pick you up from Southern Therapy no later than 6:00. See Coach Bush for the paperwork. The forms that are needed cannot be printed from the Internet, Coach Bush has them in the gym. All paperwork must be filled out completely before you are allowed on the bus. Southern Therapy will not do your physical if the paperwork is not completed. See Coach Bush for more information!

If you were selected to be a part of the competition/football cheerleading program at CHS for the 2018-19 school year, there is a MANDATORY parent meeting on April 17th at 5:45 in the old gym. Cheerleader AND parent MUST BE in attendance as this is a requirement.

Upcoming 8th grade students (currently 7th grade): There will be a parent meeting about the 2019 8th grade Washington, DC, trip on Tuesday, April 17, at 6pm in the media center.
