Stock the Food Pantry begins begins today. Each grade level has been assigned specific items, so check out the signs throughout the hallways or the TV screens in the cafeteria. The ELT (homeroom in 8th grade) for each grade that brings the most will get DONUTS delivered to their class next Monday.

For anyone who is interested...first round of tryouts for the academic bowl team are TOMORROW 4-4:30 in Ms. Jones' Room 605.

Congratulations to the following 6th grade students who have been chosen by their peers as Student Council representatives: Abigail Little, Gabe Swan, Rhett Nelson, and Joe Turner.

Last Friday and Saturday, 13 CMS FFA members attended the North Region FFA Rally in Covington, Ga. At this event, our FFA members enjoyed meeting students from over 30 different FFA Chapters across Northwest Georgia and competing in a variety of leadership development activities and challenges. At the conclusion of the event on Saturday, our CMS students came home victorious in two of the FFA Region Rally Challenges. Our very own Trott Sauls and Spencer Barr blew through the Crosscut Wood Sawing challenge with an astonishing time of 18 seconds, and the entire group also successfully completed the FFA Scavenger Hunt in a record time of 10 minutes. Congratulations to these students as they showed Georgia FFA what it means to be Lionstrong!

Tomorrow, an 8th grade parent meeting for the spring Washington, DC, trip will be held in the media center at 6pm for those that are interested and HAVE NOT already signed up.
