It was another great night for the volleyball team! They won against South Paulding’s 9th grade team, Central High’s JV, and Alexander High’s JV! These were tough games and our athletes played hard! We are super-proud of them.

Yesterday afternoon, our CMS FFA Land Evaluation team had an outstanding performance in their first competition of the year by bringing home first place in the junior division and second place overall when compared to the Senior Division. The team was lead by members Trent Teal in first place, Asher Ayers in second place, and Lee Teal in 4th place for the overall competition. The team will be back in action on September 19th as they prepare to take on FFA chapters from all over North Georgia.

Next week we will have dress up days for Homecoming. The plan is as follows:

Monday - Mathletes VS Athletes

Tuesday - Twin Day/ Dynamic Duo

Wednesday- Character Day (dress up as your favorite book or movie character)

Thursday - Spirit Wear!!!! (homecoming parade day)

Friday- Central Spirit Gear!  (Homecoming game!)

The CMS B-Team Lions traveled to Haralson County yesterday and came away with a 20-8 win over the Rebels. The Lions would strike first with a touchdown pass from Tucker Lambert to Kadan Spratling to go up 6-0. The Lions would come back again with an 85 yard touchdown pass from Lambert to Luke Worley to go up 12 to 0. The Lions gave up a touchdown before halftime to make the score 12-8 at the half. Another touchdown run came from Jonaz Walton to cap off the scoring at 20-8. Our B team will look to go 2-0 next Monday with a home game at Central Middle at 5:30 against Temple Middle School.
