Art Club will meet two separate times depending on your grade level. Sixth grade students will meet on Tuesday, September 17, until 5pm. Our 7th & 8th grade will tentatively meet on Wednesday, September 18, until, but listen for future announcements for this 7th & 8th grade date.

Mr. Rondash is not here today, so the Science Olympiad team will NOT practice as scheduled.

The CMS Cross Country teams ran their first place record to 6 - 0 yesterday as both the boys and girls teams captured first place team titles at the Carrollton Invitational meet. The boys began the festivities by beating out  home team Carrollton by 8 points with a meet low score of 32 points. The boys were led by Tyler Roden’s first place finish along with Daniel Neill, Haegen Faulkner, Parker Ferguson and Jordan Martin who rounded out the top 5 for the boys. The girls team then took center stage and posted an astounding low score of 25 points with Carrollton placing second with 66 points. The girls team dominated the meet by placing 7 girls in the top ten lead by Lorelie Daugherty, Bella Abernathy, Mallory Rose, Gabriella Baldasarri, Lucy Barker, Mayte Mata, and Aliyah Ayers. The Team will be in action tomorrow as they travel to Haralson County for an early start of 4:30. 

The Lady Lions Volleyball team are keeping the court hot as they brought home two more wins for our A Team against Haralson County and Bay Springs last night.

Yesterday, our Lady Lions Softball team defeated Carrollton 5-1! Leigha Adams started the scoring when she hit a 2 run homer in the top of the 4th inning.  Leigha went 2-3 with 2 RBIs, while Hailey Toney continues to stay hot at the plate going 2-4. Alexis Warren, Emma Seymour, and McKenna Singleton went 1-3. Cayleigh Martin and Gabby Thomason both entered the game late and came up clutch, both getting hits. Sadie Stallings came in to pinch hit and got a walk to load the bases. Emma Shoemaker went 1-4 with an inside the park homer, and on the mound Lexi went 4.2 innings with 10 strikeouts and 2 hits. Lani Stockton threw 1 inning, striking out 1 and giving up no hits. Defensively Megan Cook and Ragan Reaves both had great plays.


All girls basketball players need to bring their Noah Hicks money and tickets to Mrs. Stewart’s room, 711, before next Friday, September 13th.

Next week we will have dress up days for Homecoming. The plan is as follows:

 Monday - Mathletes VS Athletes

 Tuesday - Twin Day/ Dynamic Duo

 Wednesday- Character Day (dress up as your favorite book or movie character)

 Thursday - Spirit Wear!!!! (homecoming parade day)

 Friday- Central Spirit Gear!  (Homecoming game!)
