Well, PUT IT IN THE BOOKS...the Central Middle School Cross Country teams made history yesterday by completing a perfect season in both the Boys and Girls divisions. The teams accomplished this feat by sprinting past all challengers at yesterday's West Georgia Middle School Championships held at Carrollton Junior High School. Both teams finished the season with stellar 6-0 records. The boys began the celebration by out running second place Carrollton in a close race finishing 9 points better than the competition with a race low score of 31 points. The boys team placed 4 runners in the top 10 paced by FIRST place finisher Tyler Roden. He was joined in the top ten by 3rd place Parker Ferguson, 6th place Haegan Faulkner, and 10th place Jordan Martin. Coach Duffey would like to recognize Daniel Neill who gutted out an injury-riddled race by finishing 11th helping the boys overcome the push from the other schools. The girls team capped of the celebration by posting a low score of 25 points outdistancing Carrollton by a total of 30 points! The girls dominated the top ten by placing 6 in the group lead by 3rd place Hannah Hembree, 4th place Mayte Mata, 5th place Lorelie Daugherty, 6th place Lucy Barker,7th place Bella Abernathy, and 9th place finisher Mallory Rose. The team will take a few days off before training for the State meet on Saturday October 12th in Cochran Georgia.

Congratulations to our Lady Lions Softball team as they won their playoff game yesterday. Today the Lady Lions will be heading to the championship game against Carrollton. This game will be at the Central High School softball field with a  5pm start.

Tomorrow we will celebrate our fall sports with a schoolwide PEP RALLY...and we have LOTS to cheer about. Be sure to wear your school colors and come ready to make some noise. Who will win the fall spirit stick????
