The Central Middle School Wrestling team put a huge exclamation point on a very historic 2019-2020 wrestling season by placing a strong 6th place finish at the Georgia Middle School State tournament on Saturday. The Lions went 3-2 on the day losing their second match of the day on the 12th tie breaker criteria to perennial power Gilmer County. The Lions showed great will and determination throughout the day on their way to placing in the event. The 6th place finish is the first time in school history that the team has placed at the state event. Coach Duffey couldn't be more proud of the 65 member team for their season long efforts.
