I am an 8th grade reading and language arts teacher at Central Middle School. Upon graduating from Carrollton High School in 1997, I attended the University of West Georgia and received a B.S. in Sociology. Shortly after graduating, I began my career as a school social worker and then realized that my true calling was in the classroom with the children. That is when I decided to continue my education and obtained my Master of Education in Special Education and my Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. I began my teaching career at Northgate High School and transferred to Temple High School so I could be closer to home. In 2004, I started teaching 8th grade reading and language arts at Central Middle School. I truly love Central Middle and have had a blast working here. I love my students and find joy in teaching them and preparing them for high school as well as life after school. I also love laughing with my students and making learning fun.
I am married to Kelly Edwards, an employee of Carroll County Schools, and we have two children, Allie Grace and Beau. When I am not at school, I am with my family. I like to play outside with my kids, read, and just be with friends and family.
