I grew up in Ashburn, Georgia. After graduation from Turner County High School, I attended Valdosta State University and earned a B.S. in Middle Grades Education. I began my teaching career at Ben Hill Middle School in Fitzgerald, Georgia, as an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher. Three years later, I moved to teach in my hometown. I taught at Turner County Middle School as an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher for ten years. During that time, I attended Georgia Southwestern State University and earned a M.Ed in Reading, an Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership, and certification in Gifted Education. In 2014, I moved to Carrollton and began teaching at Central Middle School. I am proud to be a Central Lion, and I love teaching middle school students.
