I have been married to my husband, Drew Maddox, since 2012. We have two kids, Brooklyn (2014) and Gehrig (2016). I grew up in Carrollton, Georgia where I attended Carrollton High School and graduated in 2004. At Carrollton, I was apart of the marching band, clarinet, and played varsity soccer all four years. I graduated from UWG in May 2009, and started teaching in August 2009. I taught two years in Macon, GA, at Howard Middle School, where I taught 7th grade math, science, and social studies. I worked as a paraprofessional and as the Trojan U (after school program) data coordinator at Carrollton City Schools for one year. I started at Central Middle School in August 2012. I have taught 7th and 8th grade science as well as, starting our STEM program. I coached the Central High School girls varsity soccer team from 2012 until 2016. I coached the Central Middle School boys, girls, and co-ed teams from 2016 to 2022.
