A native of Bowdon, I have a B.A. in Public Relations from Auburn University, M.S. in Education from Jacksonville State University, and an Ed.S. from Jacksonville State University. My college internship was with the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education. During the spring of 2018, I completed a Poetry in America course at Harvard University.
After graduating from Auburn, I worked with the Corporate Communications Department of Southwire where I specialized in community relations - specifically working with the donations committee to help fund teacher's classrooms across the country.
I currently live in Bremen, Georgia, with my husband and dog. I have two children who both attend Mississippi State University. During my free time, you can find me visiting with my children (yep, I make frequent trips to Mississippi) or binge watching Netflix
