I am a proud alumnus of the Central cluster, graduating in the class of 2010. I began my post-secondary education at Southern Union and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Truett McConnell College. I have a Master's in Instructional Technology from the University of Alabama, ROLL TIDE, and an Ed. Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University. I am currently enrolled at the American College of Education, working on my doctorate degree.
After my first year of teaching, I found my true passion was teaching Math and Science with the goal of helping students love and understand a subject that so many despise or struggle with. I believe Mary Poppins stated my philosophy best. "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun."
I believe extracurricular activities are so important for our students. I enjoy helping direct the school musical and sponsoring 4H. My husband and I welcomed our daughter Wren to the world in December 2024, and she loves joining me to support our lions at sporting and fine arts events!
