About Mrs. Jones

Mrs. Colleen Jones has been an educator for 16 years and is currently serving her first year as Central Middle School principal.  Prior to CMS, Mrs. Jones was the principal at  Ithica Elementary School in Villa Rica for 4 years. She attended the University of West Georgia and holds her Education Specialist degree. Prior to becoming a principal, Mrs. Jones taught 7th grade Language Arts and Social Studies at Bowdon Middle School, in Carroll County. While there she served as the cheerleading coach for Bowdon High School. A champion for students and teachers, Mrs. Jones was honored to represent Carroll County Schools as the district teacher of the year in 2013. Her service, leadership, and drive to produce results lead her to becoming an assistant principal at Bowdon Elementary in 2013 and Central High School in 2017 in Carroll County. While serving as assistant principal, Mrs. Jones found a deep love for Ed. Tech and data analysis to support students in setting goals for their own success. Mrs. Jones is passionate about student achievement. As the lead learner of Central Middle School, Mrs. Jones is committed to seeking ways to energize teachers and motivate students to grow and reach their personal goals. Mrs. Jones believes that every student has more potential than they realize, and through goal setting, hard work and consistent adult support, students can reach their full potential in life.
