Hi! My name is Erin Axelson, and I was born and raised in Charleston, SC. I received my Bachelors Degree in Family Sciences from Brigham Young University, and have worked with children and youth in our church over the years. I taught English to children in China with VIPKid for 2 years and then worked as a substitute teacher at CES and CMS for 2 years. I joined the CMS team as a Special Ed Paraprofessional in 2022 and just completed my Masters Degree in Special Education from Western Governors University. I joined the CMS SPED team in November 2023, teaching ELA and look forward to teaching Math this year!
My husband, Josh, and I live in Carrollton with our 3 daughters-Abby, Phoebe (CHS) and Shelby (CES) and our dog (Sadie) + 7 chickens!
I love hanging out with family, singing, watching musicals, sewing, laughing and making—and eating—yummy desserts. I love being a part of the CMS Lion Pride family! Go Lions!
